Amanda Ferris, of R.E.S.C.U.E. Dog Training, is a dedicated protege of Carol Hein-Creger from the renowned Canine Training Center, where she has honed her skills since 2018. Her unwavering mission is to rehabilitate dogs, including those with challenging backgrounds, and integrate them into loving family homes using the power of positive reinforcement. Amanda derives immense satisfaction from witnessing the remarkable transformations in dogs' behavior, demonstrating that they can thrive harmoniously within households.
Amanda's passion for Pit bulls was ignited after high school, leading to over 15 years of devoted study in dog body language and canine communication. Her own experience with Luna, a former fighting dog transformed into an exuberant people-lover, stands as a heartwarming testament to the remarkable potential of rescued dogs in forming affectionate bonds, and moving past trauma. Amanda also collaborates with local shelters and rescues, working with staff and volunteers, assisting dogs in overcoming behavior challenges, and helping them learn skills needed to find suitable, loving homes.
